The nominee for this award must be a private/public sector organisation associated with the Australian Trucking Industry. The organization must provide:
- Formal employee training policies and procedures
- A sample employee training plan
- A summary of training for last three (3) years for all employees
- Evidence of implementation of structural training for all employees over the last three (3) years
- Demonstrated positive effect on organisational performance

This award is aimed at providing encouragement and recognition to organizations that are doing something
to tackle the international transport sector's biggest problem: finding, training, and keeping good staff.
The award is open to all categories of training program.
Entries can be made for company in-house training programs aimed at addressing industry skill shortages, and at retaining staff.
They can also come from educational institutions and other professional training providers who believe that they have an innovative product to show.
The judges will look for innovative presentation of training, and the extent to which such training programs are able to quantify results.
