Border Express Expands Footprint with Two New Depot Openings

Border Express, will be taking another leap forward with the opening of two brand-new, depots in Townsville and Newcastle. In a demonstration of efficiency and strategic planning, both facilities will be officially open in the next few weeks, underscoring the company’s momentum and commitment to regional growth.
Townsville: Bigger, Better, and just around the corner
The new Townsville site, located at 50 Toll Street, Bohle, QLD is just 500 metres from the current facility but offers a transformative increase in operational capacity. At approximately four times the size of the existing location, the new facility provides substantial room for growth in freight handling, vehicle movement, and staff operations.
This expansion comes in response to rising demand in Northern Queensland and reflects Border Express’s long-term vision to invest in regional infrastructure that supports faster, more reliable service for local businesses.


Newcastle: A modern, high-capacity hub
In Newcastle, Border Express will open a brand-new depot at 195 Greenleaf Road, Kooragang, NSW which has over 4,000sqm space, featuring a combination of warehouse space, office and amenities, and a large main awning area to support all-weather operations.
Strategically located to serve the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and Hunter Region area, the Kooragang facility is designed to streamline freight operations, enhance delivery times, and improve service coverage across a key logistics corridor in New South Wales.
